Step 1
Place the ham on a large serving platter with the flat end up, exposing the first ham slice.
Step 2
Cut along the three seams of the exposed ham slice, cutting down several slices to loosen the meat. If it is a bone-in ham, cut perpendicularly to the bone.
Step 3
Cut around the bone if the ham has one, in a small circle, using the tip of a sharp knife.
Step 4
Place a serving fork by the platter to allow guests to lift off individual pieces of ham. Leave a knife near the platter should further cutting be necessary as more ham pieces are removed.
